Title A name given to the resource Thames River Innovation Place Description An account of the resource The Thames River Innovation Place, or TRIP, is a collaborative nonprofit organization which joins several institutions in both the public and private sector to revitalize the regions surrounding the Thames River. As its mission claims to “leverage and enhance all that is unique about this place at the mouth of the Thames River,” it hopes to create a blueprint for the city’s future rooted in its past. By working to preserve historic structures, in addition to creating plans to renovate the downtown areas of New London and Groton along the Thames, the organization hopes to create a greater sense of livability, of community, and of place.
